From Jim's 2011 book:
In general, don’t use anything less than 68% pure, as the lower percentage products have clarifiers and stabilizers in them. But in a pinch, even those could be used, as chemical companies are not going to poison swimmers.

I've also had problems with the other listed seller for the city I'm in as they only sell sodium chlorite in 1kg bags for quite a lot of money.
I'm thinking to try contacting the people in Varanasi tomorrow but am concerned delivery could take a long time and I also always worry about the quality here.
Any further advice?
Thanks so much for your help!

Can you please tell me where you got the half kilo of Sodium chlorite in Thailand. I live in Thailand and need to make a batch of MMS but I can't seem to find a supplier of the stuff. My email is markc@rism.ac.th if you have an answer.
Thanks
