Here are my photos (I had actually posted these already on another thread) I also purchased from a listed supplier in Spain, Also the DMSO he sent me was nowhere near the strength of my own 70% solution that I made myself so my advice is always make your own where possible

Mikey99, great visual proof that MMS (22.4% SCS) has a shelf life shorter than commonly believed.

I have also found that the activator can be 'weak'.

We are aware what the book reads and it is a source of this kind of question. If using citric acid as the activator, it does turn amber after 30 seconds. If using hydrochloric acid as the activator, it does remain yellow. To make sure that it is good, it must be tested with chlorine dioxide test strips. 3 activated drops in 4 oz of water should read at least 25 ppm. If you don't have test strips, we can test for you and send you a photo of the result, just let us know the numbers on the little white stickers in the back of the bottles that you are using.

A 3 drop dose of MMS1 activated with 4% HCL will show a yellow color almost immediately, and at 30 seconds it should change to amber color. The CLO2 concentration of a 3 drop MMS1 dose in 4 fl oz of water will measure about 18 ppm at 30 seconds when 4% HCL activator is used. If using 50% citric acid, the CLO2 ppm will be about 12 at 30 seconds. A photometer was used to measure CLO2 ppm. CLO2 test strips will only show a rough idea of ppm.

Thank you CLO2, so in short, this company (DISCOVER WPS ... not Discover MMS, I made a mistake) lack of professionalism to sell improper MMS. At least now I know what to do, make my own !

This is the result from the test strip that they sent me today, ... if my MMS is the same as the one they tested (according to them it is the case)... then it would be 50ppm... Would it be the reason of the yellow color? Is 50ppm too much for MMS1? Could it be possible that they tested the MMS not the activated MMS (MMS1) ?

Should I continue drinking this MMS1? Thank you

If you tested your MMS1 3 drop dose made with MMS and 4% HCL, activated for 30 seconds and added to 4 fl oz of water, the reading should be about 18 ppm according to my testing. I used a photometer and not CLO2 test strips.

During those 30 seconds of MMS activation, other chemicals, which are short-lived, are formed besides CLO2. Those other chemicals may be causing CLO2 test strips to read too high.

If you can smell CLO2 gas during the activation period, then CLO2 is being released from MMS. You could compare the amount of CLO2 gas you smell by making MMS1 from purchased MMS and your home-made MMS. You can activate both at the same time and compare.

Be careful not to inhale too much CLO2 gas.

I am more and more concerned about the quality of the 4% HCL... as I heard that also before that it release gas that I have never noticed. I can only smell the chlor (Cl, the slight bleach kind of smell) when MMS1 is being activated.

Maybe it could easily make my own 4% HCL with Muriatic Acid from an hardware store (as you suggested elsewhere on this forum) and try with it. I just wonder how I will get it to 4% (from let's say a 29% HCL), what would be the step practically, could you help me?

Concerning the photometer... would a TDS meter be of any help? Something like that one below?

CLO2 I found out everything on how to make 4% HCL... on Jim.H website jimhumble.co/how-to-make-mms . ... sorry about that.

I will try to order on pforlife.com as you mentioned elsewhere that they sell quality products.

I wonder about the TDS meter (see link above) which I bought for a different purpose, could it be useful... what do you think? Thanks!

A TDS meter only measures total dissolved solids. To measure CLO2 concentration you need a photometer such as this one:
