file Will Sodium Chlorite or Citric Acid Powder Corrode the Rubber Seal on My Glass Jar?

How wide is that? If it is as wide as the rubber seal, it may be worth a try. Otherwise you will end up with a gap between the tapes or overlaps.
 
Not sure, will phone tomorrow and find out. I think it's at least worth a try as my sodium chlorite and citric acid are already stored in the containers. I painted them and everything to keep the sunlight out 

Just to be clear, I won't be storing any MMS, hydrochloric acid or CDS in those containers with the rubber, I have other glass bottles for that. These are just for storing the dry ingredients, oh and for making the CDS (so approximately 12 hours exposure overnight, but perhaps I should cover the CDS making container too) as is demonstrated in Andreas' video.

I usually just place the CDS in a dark place. And in the fridge which also is dark mostly.

Sorry, meant I should put the silicone tape on the CDS making container as well. Several 12 hour exposures could do some damage too.
