Guidance for making MMS Newbie

Probably asked 1000 times here, but could someone guide me as to where I can safely create MMS?  I purchased a chlorine dioxide kit with HCl from KVLab but I would appreciate some guidance as to the proper proportion and application.  I purchased a book by Jim Humble (God rest his soul) about a year ago but early in the book it declared that that particular book wasn't going to explain the process mixing, making and applying.
