Otitis (ear inflamation)

Good day,

My friend cought some sort of infection in his ear now it is inflamed. May be that is what they call a swimmers ear. He has not been to a doctor.
What protocol would be best for him. Same as eyes 4 drops per Hlf glass water 4-5 times a day?
Or better nose breathing protocol?
