Heart Surgery was created by mabukh
I regularly take a maintenance dose of CDS (3-4 drops a day). I may have an open heart surgery in near future. Should I continue taking CDS while preparing for the surgery (including giving my own blood for transfusion) or stop taking it some time before the surgery and restart again later? Will CDS in the blood affect the subsequent use of it for transfusion?

According to JH, CDS in the blood should not last longer than 2 hours or so. If you stop it the night before blood is taken, you should be fine.
