CDS Test strips was created by leebanjo
I can make CLS ok, but I dont know how to measure the concentration. Using the LaMotte test strips High Range, 0-500, Jim says to get between 25 and 50 to make a solution to drink. But what concentration is that in ppm? Pam says 1 ml of 3000 ppm = 3 drops MMS. But what test strip reading equals 3000 ppm?

Welcome Lee. Take a small sample of the CDS you have made, and dilute it with distilled water 10:1. That should put it in the 0 - 500 range of the test strips.

so when pam says 3000 on your test strip you just go by 300. 300 means 3000, 400 means 4000, 500 means 5000 and beyond that you wont know unless you use different dilution. However to do the regular dilution like paul says dilute your water 10 to 1.

Thanks , Paul and John. One more question: using the test strip color chart 0-500. What do I have when the strip color matches 100. I have one batch that color and one darker, between 250-500 color match. So I can't distinguish between 300, 400 etc. Diluting by 10 makes sense using paul's method.
thanks a bunch

And when you dilute to 10%, it's 1 part CDS, 9 parts water.
Good luck!
