weight scales

I am looking for recommendations for a gram weighing scale - what are you using? Does it weigh in tenths of grams or hundreths of grams? Is it consistent? Does it have an auto-shut-off? Does it tare?

I have 3 scales, one is a pelouze postal scale from years back, weighs in grams (no use if you're doing one or 2 bottles), and two are from AWS (American Weight Scales) one to .1gm and the other to .01gm - the two from AWS are pocket scales and I'm not thrilled - they only have to be accurate to within .2 grams, so if you want to be sure you're measuring apples to apples, you have to leave the original container on the scale in the same place all the way through the measuring process. Also, they auto-shut off after a minute (it says, a minute of inactivity - ya'rite) - and if you're trying to write down measurements and subtract measurements, sometimes a minute passes too quickly. And since you don't know what you'll get when you turn it back on, you just have to throw out that batch of Sodium Chlorite.

And, does anyone know what kind of scale Mark used in the training in the DR?

i use digital kitchen scale with minimum 1g reading.... not bad i would say....

my mms2 is weighting 0.32 grams each... strenght is 65%... but now change to 70%.... because the quality look better in dry form obtain frm my supplier..

I need to get a gram and milligram scale too. I noticed the other day Uline has a lot of scales.

Not cheap but they have more of a selection than I have seen before.

Thanks, Mickey - unfortunately it's lowest measure is 1 gm as best as I can determine, and for those of us doing MMS at home, we need to measure at the very least in tenths of grams.

OK, I went back this morning and reviewed the DVD for the training seminar, (day 2 morning session) and it appears that Mark is using a scale that weights to the nearest gram. This is not the same level of accuracy that he was showing in his original "how to make MMS" video on YouTube, where he took Jim's formula from his book which made (I think) 13 bottles, and divided everything by 13, to get 1 bottle, and at that point he was talking in tenths of grams.

So, if one is OK with the rounding up and down factor, Mickey's scales may well be the way to go.

I'm still looking for a gram scale that will go to tenths, for me. Will continue to explore.

Some of the scales they sell from $70 to $100 (they include scales till $110) weigh beginning at 0,1 gr. And auto shut-off at 3 minutes!

I suggest looking at eBay as a source for quality electronic scales at VERY REASONABLE prices. I've had very good results there.
